Product 10657 DGT Connection Material 1st Tournament Board is required to connect the first of every 12 tournament boards. It contains a power supply (suitable for 12 boards), a board-to-bus cable, a PC-to-bus cable, 5m patch cable, 20m patch cable and 4 connection boxes.
To connect the next 11 boards product 10658 DGT Connection Material Additional Tournament Boards is required. It contains a board-to-bus cable, 5m patch cable and a connection box.
For the 13th board, 25th board etc. again product 10657 is required.
The power adapter should not be replaced by a universal adapter. The boards will be damaged beyond repair when the wrong polarity of the voltage is applied.

This connection kit requires a computer with a serial port (9 pin D-sub).
If your computer does not have a hardware serial port you can use a High Quality serial to USB converter. The only converter we recommend is the US232R-100 Premium USB-Serial Converter to be found on http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/EvaluationKits/USB-Serial.htm
Another option would be to use a serial to Ethernet converter such as the B&B Electronics ESP211-232. This web page also gives technical information about the convertor.
