Today we added the latest version of the DGT Board Setup Wizard to the downloads on our website. This wizard contains the E-Board driver DLL 1.47. Below the release notes for this version are given.
Version 1.2.7 20091028 (DLL version: 1.47)
- The MB.exe for reading the help file is not necessary anymore. This is replaced with displaying a text file in a memo field. With certain virus scanners MB.exe gave a virus warning. A separate HTML file is added to the Start menu.
- Bluetooth tab added. This will show when a Bluetooth port is selected.
- With some programs (Shredder, WoodIn) the driver crashed due to some unexpected actions. This was screensaver related and switching off/on of the screensaver has been removed from the code.
- Saving the log file into a user directory, not anymore in the Program Files section.
- Fixed closing crash on Windows Vista 64 bit.
- The DLL will not be installed in the ChessBase directory anymore. This is done by ChessBase when you install their latest software.
Known issues:
- The driver does not store the settings in the registry on a 64bit Windows.
- Installer needs a correct manifest for skipping the Vista/7 question for allowing to install.
- Bluetooth tab does not work yet.
The Setup Wizard version 1.1 has now been taken from the downloads. If you are still using Windows 98 and need this driver, please contact our support.
