During the Dr. Max Euwe - En Passant KNSB match on September 26th a suprisingly strong team appeared at the DGT office. The club from Bunschoten-Spakenburg came with grandmasters Victor Kortsjnoi and Genna Sosonko to play their match.
And with three international masters: Bruno Carlier, Manuel Bosboom and Hans Böhm.
The biggest surprise was the win of the first team of Dr. Max Euwe, a local club from Enschede with 4½-3½. Both Kortsjnoi and Sosonko won their games. The match was decided in the last seconds of the match, were En Passant player Drent lost on time.
Also the second and third team of Dr. Max Euwe played against their opponents in the DGT office. They played upstairs in the large conference room.
