FIDE World Cadet U8, U10 & U12 Championships 2024

At DGT, we believe that introducing children to chess at an early age is a fantastic way to nurture their development while having fun. That is why we were thrilled to support the FIDE World Cadet Championship, which took place from November 14 to 27 in Montesilvano, Italy. The event brought together 716 talented young participants from 82 countries. Players competed across six categories: Under 8, Under 10, and Under 12, with divisions for Open and Girls.

This incredible championship gave children a chance to test their skills and connect with peers from different cultures and backgrounds. Thanks to the integration of DGT boards, every game was broadcast live. This allowed families, coaches, and friends from around the world to follow the games in real-time. To honor their achievements, the top three players in each category were awarded a Pegasus chessboard, helping them to continue improving their skills anywhere.

We are always delighted to see such passion for chess, especially at such a young age. We eagerly anticipate the impact these talented young minds will have on the future of the chess world.
