Changes in Firmware 3.01:

  • Fixes issues of boards with serial numbers between 20900 and 21500 becoming unresponsive (with LED indicating continuous green light) after a 3.00 firmware update.
  • Update includes an update of the boot loader to 3.0

Changes in Boot loader 3.01:

  • Fixes a rare issue of boards that could falsely trigger the boot loader mode (LED indicating continuous red ).

Changes in Firmware 3.00:

  • Bluetooth e-Boards now fully have integrated the bus communication protocol used by the LiveChess tournament software. Bluetooth e-Boards can now be used with LiveChess via a USB connection cable.
  • Improved compatibility with some USB 3.0 ports
  • Improved compatibility with some USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 hubs.

Changes in Boot loader 3.00:

  • Fixes situations where the e-Board Firmware Uploader tool reports "Timeout: Impossible to update".
  • Fixes situations where on a combined update (firmware + boot loader, the boot loader was not updated.
  • Fixes situations where, if a firmware update fails and then the firmware update is re-attempted with a different firmware, the board freezes.
  • Improves compatibility with some USB 3.0 ports.
  • Improves compatibility with some USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 hubs.

Important: There are still some older USB 3.0 hubs or USB 3.0 host controllers which do not correctly enumerate or communicate with USB 1.1 devices (such as the Bluetooth e-Board). To prevent communication issues, please install the latest firmware updates and use the latest drivers available for that hub or USB host controller.
