Can I use the DGT e-Board with Windows?
Yes you can. Please download the latest RabbitPlugin driver for using your DGT e-Board with these operating systems. The driver software CD is also included on the DGT e-Board gift box.
How does a DGT e-Board store game information?
Inside the DGT e-Board the last 500 moves will be stored in the on-board memory. The information will stay in the board as long as the e-Board is powered.
Can I use a (very) long USB cable for my DGT e-Board?
The DGT shop has USB extension cables of 5 meter length available. You can cascade at least 2 of these cables and still have a reliable USB connection. These USB extension cables are also available in regular computer shops.
Can I convert a wired e-Board into a bluetooth e-Board?
The DGT e-Board with Bluetooth wireless communication was released in July 2009. A conversion kit to convert a wired serial or USB board to a Bluetooth board is available for some models of e-Boards.
Why does the position of the pieces on screen not match with the actual position on the board?
DGT e-Boards can be influenced by electromagnetic fields generated by computers, monitors, power supplies and especially plasma television screens. Please ensure to keep such devices at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from your DGT e-Board.
Can I use the e-Board with Mac OS, iOS, Linux or Android?
The driver for the e-Board is currently only for Windows based platforms. You can however use a virtual machine which is running a Windows environment on your Mac, Linux or Unix system.
Can I use battery power for the e-Board?
Yes you can. You require a qualified Serial-to-USB Converter Cable convertor cable to connect a Serial Tournament e-Board to the USB port of your computer. These converters are standard supplied by DGT in the connection kit for the first board of a string of serial e-Boards.
Can I connect a serial e-Board to a computer that has only USB-connections?
Yes you can. You require a qualified Serial-to-USB Converter Cable convertor cable to connect a Serial Tournament e-Board to the USB port of your computer. These converters are standard supplied by DGT in the connection kit for the first board of a string of serial e-Boards.
Why does my USB-connection show up as a com port?
The DGT USB e-Board has an internal USB to serial converter. The Windows operating system will identify this as a serial COM port. In most cases the text "USB" is added in brackets after the comport number, like COM3 (USB).
Why do the Bluetooth LED lights turn red while charging?
Normally when you are charging your DGT Bluetooth e-board, the LED should be orange during charging and turn to green when the battery is fully charged.

Why does my DGT Bluetooth board not get detected in Windows 11?
DGT e-Boards and the software required to run them are compatible with Windows 11. It is possible that your Windows 11 has a Bluetooth setting that needs to be changed in order to detect a DGT Bluetooth board.
