Can I use a (very) long USB cable for my DGT e-Board?

The DGT shop has USB extension cables of 5 meter length available. You can cascade at least 2 of these cables and still have a reliable USB connection. These USB extension cables are also available in regular computer shops. Also the use of a USB-HUB will extend the distance between your USB e-Board and your computer.

Another way of extending the length of an USB cable is to use a USB to Ethernet extender. These devices are available in computer shops. Feel free to ask DGT support for more information. Tests at DGT have shown that an Ethernet cable of 50 meters still gives a reliable USB communication. Do note that using such long cable does not charge the battery of your DGT Bluetooth e-Board.
